The Assyrian Universal Alliance delegation, Mr. Ninoos Benjamin, Deputy Secretary General, and Mr. Joe Rasho, AUA Americas Chapter Secretariat, met with H.E. Dr. H. Murat Mercan, Turkey’s Ambassador to the United States of America on July 15, 2021, in Washington DC. At that meeting, the Assyrian Universal Alliance delegation brought to the attention of Turkey’s Ambassador the damages done to the Assyrian Villages in Nahla, Barwar of Iraq by the recent Turkish bombardments. Assyrian Universal Alliance requested a meeting with the senior officials of the Republic of Turkey in immediate future to have a more detailed discussion regarding this matter and finding a solution to the disputes.
